There’s no doubt that we, at Bay Area Circuits, get to work with some very talented individuals working on some pretty incredible projects. Star Simpson is one of those individuals and Circuit Classics is one of those projects! Star is bringing to life classic circuit drawings from Forrest Mims’ “Getting Started in Electronics” and recently made the designs available via Crowd Supply. The support for the campaign has been tremendous and now it’s time to get to work on manufacturing.
We’re very excited about participating in the manufacturing process and were recently asked by Star to run a first article of each of the three designs. While this isn’t a complex design, aesthetics are very important and required us to apply a custom blue soldermask color. With Star’s permission, here are some photos from the manufacturing process:
